I thought it would be a good idea to update the background image of the blog and my homepage (erikhammar.se). This image was taken on the savannah on our way to Bladen last week. It will take some time to load the first time as it is rather big (1.1MB).

The bus stop in Punta Gorda where we normally get on the James Line bus to the field station. Apparently, someone set fire to the roof which was made of palm leafs, not much left of it. Behind is the Caribbean sea.

I’ve been going through some old pictures from earlier this year, thinking about printing this one in large format, 1x1m or so should do it :)

For my fathers birthday (today) I had this picture of Torun printed on 60x60 cm canvas, it turned out really well I must say!

Just got back from Barcelona yesterday. Plenty of good food (especially Patatas Bravas with that garlic sauce) and drinks, I could definitely imagine myself living in this place. Sensation with its tech/minimal house was as crazy as last time in Amsterdam! Pictures from the trip on Flickr. Hopefully they will put up a post event video from this Sensation as well.

I went for  a walk around campus today and brought the X100, overall, it’s an awesome camera, f/2 produces really nice results. The AF is a joke however, especially at close distance. I have uploaded a bunch of pictures to Flickr. The picture above is taken at 1/800, f/2, 200ISO (23 mm).
